For slicing cold cuts and placing separating sheets
The slicing machine from FIrma SEGHE in Brazil not only uses our drylin® linear technology, but also plain bearings from iglidur®.
The machine mainly cuts cheese wheels into slices and places a separating paper between the slices. This process requires components that can come into contact with food and are easy to clean. Another advantage of our igus® products is that they are lubrication-free. No additional lubricant is required, nor are our parts lubricated. This means that nobody needs to worry about the risk of contamination of the goods.

Problem

The SEGHE SG-1 must be available every day without failures for the preparation of cold cuts, mostly cheese, and for placing the separating film between the slices.All components must be resistant to lactic acid and cleaning agents, but at the same time they must not release any contaminating substances into the cold cuts or contaminate them with lubricants. All parts must therefore be allowed to come into contact with food.

Solution

With igus we were able to find a solution for our SG-1 on site in the south of Brazil. Since all components are lubrication-free, we were able to eliminate the problem of contamination of the cold cuts. Thanks to the certified plastics, the SG-1 can be cleaned without any problems and works reliably and in a strong manner.
