Long service-life

Silicon is one of the basic materials for solar energy systems. In this system, it is processed to solar-grade silicon. Previously, metal bearings and linear guides were used, which rusted quickly and therefore required frequent maintenance. The shift to igus® products increased service-life significantly. The following are used: iglidur® plain bearings and thrust washers, igubal® pedestal bearings, drylin® N-linear bearings and the EasyTube linear unit.
